Screams From The Sun

Following on from our review of their single Night Dream, we had the opportunity to catch up with Screams From The Sun to discuss their upcoming mini tour.

How did you form?

It all started in 2017 when Mimí noticed Francis busking outside Bond Street in central London and decided to approach him. Francis Jupiter on guitar and vocals and Mimí Out on drums and music production, the duo spent a year writing and recording while busking around the streets of London and playing gigs in established venues and unsigned festivals.

How would you describe your music?

Inspired by the likes of Linkin Park, Imagine Dragons and Thirty Seconds To Mars, the duo creates a blend of modern rock and synthpop sound with great hooks that will lift you up and make you sing along straight away.

You’re about to embark on a mini-tour, how did that come about?

We’ve started from the street, busking every day around London to engage with new people, new fans and to promote our shows. Following this idea of connecting with the crowd, we’ve always put our live shows on top of our priorities. WE ARE A LIVE BAND! This is why after one year of performances around London, we’ve decided to bring our music outside and get the chance to meet new fans through our shows.

What are your gigs like?

Like we’ve said, what we’re trying to create is a unique environment where the crowd will become part of the show itself. Even if we’re two on stage, we found a way to create a wall of sound not so common for a duo. So expect lots of energy, jumps and great hooks to sing along all together.

Are you planning any new music?

We have already finished songs that we’ll release during this year, starting with a brand new one straight after our Uk tour and probably a bigger release around summertime maybe with a European tour, which is already in our future plans!
