The Hawth in Crawley have just announced the upcoming summer season at the theatre. In their recent announcement, they describe it as “a fun-packed celebration of a Summer with a huge range of music, comedy, family entertainment, dance, musicals, outdoor theatre and a fabulous new festival to look forward to.”.¬† The Hawth, which is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary this year, first opened it’s doors in April 1988.

There is a huge variety of treats on offer between May and September. Some highlights include Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita, Flawless, The Chris Barber Big Band, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and more! Adding to the eclectic proceedings are ever popular tributes to world-class favourites Elvis, Rod Stewart, Whitney Houston, Eric Clapton Michael Jackson, ABBA and George Michael to name but a few.¬†Comedy has always been a big part of any Hawth season and this time is no exception with Larry Dean’s critically acclaimed new show Fandan, and Andrew Lawrence performing The Happy Accident Tour in the Studio, while Danny Baker returns with a brand new show, Good Time Charlie’s Back.

An interesting addition to the programme is a brand new music festival called Sounds from the Grounds. Lastly, there’s plenty of family fun with BAFTA award-winning Cbeebies show Sarah and Duck being brought to the stage in Big Top Birthday. Also, Julia Donaldson’s The Gruffalo’s Child will be jumping off the page, and the Teletubbies Live will be saying Eh Oh to their little fans. Families looking for something a little different are invited to set sail at the world famous pirate themed Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave that takes the big tunes, unity and escapism of the classic rave and brings them to a family audience.
